Whillians Ice Stream Subglacial Access Research Drilling (WISSARD), (collaboration)

The Whillans Ice Stream Subglacial Access Research Drilling (WISSARD) project is an integrative study of ice sheet stability and subglacial geobiology in West Antarctica, funded in 2009 by the Antarctic Integrated System Science Program of National Science Foundation’s Office of Polar Programs, Antarctic Division. There are 13 Principal Investigators (PIs) at eight different US Institutions, with additional US and International collaborators.

Prediction of Glacier Hazards and Disasters in the Central Caucasus, Russia

This project, supported by the NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme, focuses on the analysis of glacial hazards in the Caucasus Mountains of the Russian Federation. In the project they develop and utilise state-of-the-art science and technology in the fields of remote sensing, glaciology, geomorphology, geotechnical engineering, geohazard assessment and risk management.

U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)

The USGS operates in all 50 states on issues of climate, hydrology, natural hazards, natural resources and more. La Unidad de Glaciología y Recursos Hídricos

Glacial Lake Outburst Floods Database

The Database of Glacial Lake Outburst Floods has been adopted as a project of the Inernational Programme on Landlides (IPL).
